Unipart Logistics co-hosted an Aerospace Supply Chain and Logistics event with Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MMA).

The successful event saw over 40 professionals and experts from the aerospace industry attending UL Nuneaton on Thursday 26th October 2023, where delegates came together to discuss cutting-edge solutions and strategies aimed at addressing the industry’s evolving challenges.

As relative newcomers to the aerospace sector, Unipart Logistics showcased more than just their capabilities; embracing new opportunities for growth and collaboration within the industry. This event also allowed attendees a first-hand view via a “Go, Look, See” tour of Nuneaton site, showcasing Unipart Logistics’ dedication to driving continuous improvement in supply chain activities.

Amongst the speakers at the event were Tim Wilson, Managing Director at Logistics World ltd and Simon Wheelton, Unipart Logistics' Sector Strategy & Business Development Director, with Andrew Mair, Chief Executive at Midlands Aerospace Alliance also in attendance.

The highlight of the day was a keynote speech delivered by Beth Owen, Head of Logistics and Transport for Airbus, one of Unipart Logistics’ newest customers. Her speech emphasised the critical importance of embracing innovative work methods to effectively confront the challenges faced by the aerospace industry.

Reflecting on the event, Scott Bairstow, Head of Business Development at Unipart Logistics said: “Hosting this event was no small feat, and it was made possible through the collective efforts of the Unipart Logistics and MAA teams. Unipart Logistics will be co-hosting another aerospace event, this time with Aerospace Wales on Thursday 23rd November at St. Asapah in North Wales. The agenda has a real focus on not only the supply chain but also Innovation and Sustainability.
