Unipart Hosts Royal Logistics Corps Foundation Visit

Last week Unipart hosted the Royal Logistics Corps Foundation at the Advanced Supply Chain Institute.
The Royal Logistic Corps Foundation supports professional excellence for almost 14,000 military logisticians through collaboration with commercial organisations and industry leaders.
It was Unipart's privilege to host 50 senior soldiers and officers of the Royal Logistic Corps and to be joined on the day by Major General Phil Prosser CBE, Major General Angus Fay CB, Chairman of The RLC Foundation, and Unipart Group CEO Darren Leigh.

Adam Jones, Director Business Development & Sector Strategies, and Simon Wheelton, Director Aerospace & Defence, led a collaborative session on military logistics and opportunities for the rapidly evolving defence sector to learn from Unipart’s logistics heritage and approach to supply chain innovation, resilience, and sustainability.
Unipart's Supply Chain Engineering and Digital team then gave an overview in the Institute of the way in which we are developing the use of technology and automation to transform performance, increase resilience, reduce cost, and lower environmental impact in our own business and our customers’ supply chains.
Thank you to James Simester, Kath Skidmore, Paige Harris, Chrissy Weaver, Angela Dobbins, Mark Gibson, Sam Third, and Chrissy Weaver for bringing to life our innovation strategy and how the combination of automation, digital, and people creates real advantage for new and existing customers.
