Unipart Logistics delivers another successful launch

With the launch of the latest iPhone and accessories from Apple, the Sky and Vodafone teams at UL Nuneaton took the chance to work together to create buzz and fun during what was always going to be a busy launch event.

Raising money for The Azaylia Foundation in the process, a charity dedicated to ‘supporting families and providing memorable experiences for children fighting cancer’, colleagues took part in a series of fun activities at the site.

One of those activities was ‘Guess the number of Pre-orders’ across the two contracts, with lucky dip, card raffles and guess the sweets in the jar also on the agenda.

On offer was an impressive range of prizes including entertainment vouchers, Apple goodies and cash, some of which were kindly donated by our customers. Colleagues also paid to dress down for the day and a selection of tasty treats such as doughnuts, cakes and sweets were available to keep everyone going.

The team raised an impressive amount, collecting over £1300 for the charity, which was a cause close to them, due to a colleague sadly losing their child to cancer.

Also supporting the technology launch were Magna Park South, Apple’s new home of Operations with Unipart Logistics in the UK, and Magna Park Central, where the 3 contract also offers Apple products to customers.

With all 4 contracts combined, Unipart Logistics distributed an incredible number of units in the first week, with them headed to customer’s homes for release day.

On delivering the customer promise, and shipping almost 35,000 units for launch from the 3 contract, Sarah Locker, Senior Operations Manager at Magna Park said:

“It didn't come without its challenges due to the recent changes to all of Three's IT platforms, but a clear demonstration of great teamwork and colleagues going above and beyond to find solutions for Three ensured that all customers received their devices on time.”
