Unipart wins Airbus contract

June 22nd, 2023 Elliott Abdey

Unipart has been awarded a highly competitive Airbus contract, after demonstrating the power of The Unipart Way to the customer.

Unipart will join the aerospace industry at exactly the right time, with experts predicting 40,000 new aircraft to be built over the next 10 to 15 years.

Simon Wheelton, Director Aerospace, Defence & Utilities, Unipart Logistics, said: “Unipart’s culture, which I'd encapsulate under The Unipart Way, was absolutely pivotal to us winning the contract. Throughout the tender process, we put in writing and verbalised, in various presentations to the Airbus team, our proven culture, the way that we deliver through The Unipart Way, continuous improvement, and benefit to our blue chip companies.

“This contract is incredibly important to Unipart Group. We've got a great offering we've demonstrated already to Airbus, as one of the blue chip companies within the aerospace industry, that we're a safe, trusted delivery partner, and we can utilise that to look at other opportunities across the aerospace sector.”
