50th Anniversary Roadshow at Normanton

On 20 June Normanton were the first UK site to hold Unipart's 50th Anniversary Roadshow. The site was decorated with balloons, bunting, posters, table covers, and a photo stand - all showcasing the remarkable journey of Unipart.

The day began with a well-received video presentation about who Unipart are today and the incredible journey they have been on over the last 50 years, including when we first entered the healthcare sector in 1999. This was something close to the audience's hearts, as this team are part of the network that deliver Unipart's customer promise to SCCL, ultimately ensuring a wide range of products reach NHS hospitals and patients every day!

One of the day's highlights was a quiz where colleagues demonstrated their knowledge of what had happened in the world in the years that Unipart have achieved significant growth milestones. This was a fun activity that brought everyone together and enhanced the team's knowledge of Unipart's journey over the last 50 years!

A raffle added excitement, with over 50 prizes awarded ranging from a selection of coffees and chocolates to Fitness watches. Overall £300 was raised for the Children's Cancer Charity - an amazing show of generosity from the Normanton colleagues.

The flower box competition showcased creative talents, judged by Business Unit Director Kristian Latham, HR’s Richard Hind, Lisa Skelton, Inventory’s Frankie Carter, and Finance’s Tracy Wollerton. Congratulations to Shift 2 for winning first place, Stock Management for second place, and Transport for third.

Culinary delights were plentiful, featuring a delicious selection of classic dishes such as cheeseburgers, chili dogs, stuffed crust pizza, chicken tikka masala, and a variety of salads. This diverse menu catered to all taste buds and added to the festive atmosphere.

To top it off, 50th birthday cupcakes were served, providing a sweet treat for everyone to enjoy to commemorate this special anniversary.

The celebrations continued throughout the week with regular updates and Unipart World Tour card games at the Comm Cells (played like Top Trumps).

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed in making these events a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone!
