Magna Park Central Celebrates Unipart's 50th Anniversary
Magna Park Central recently hosted a week-long celebration to commemorate Unipart's 50th anniversary. The week was filled with engaging activities, including interactive roadshow sessions twice daily. These sessions featured a roadshow video and a fun quiz.
The team at Magna Park Central took this opportunity to not only celebrate the past but also look towards the future. They created a time capsule filled with items representing the present day, including photos of the workplace, information on popular products, and individual messages from colleagues about their hopes for the world in 50 years.
Recognising and appreciating colleagues was a key part of the celebration. A dedicated session was held to honour those who had reached milestones or had been nominated for CARE recognition. The festivities included a 70s dress-up day and a delicious spread of baked potatoes with various fillings served in the canteen. These activities added a fun and relaxed atmosphere to the celebration.
Beyond the festivities, Magna Park Central also gave back to the community. By promoting the Unipart Big Charity Challenge in all roadshow sessions, they raised an impressive £1033 for Wishes4Kids Leicester. This charity grants wishes for children and youngsters in Leicestershire facing life-limiting illnesses, terminal illnesses, or who have experienced life-changing traumas. They had prizes from a LG 32” TV to £50 gift cards and boxes of chocolates.
At MPC the people are at the heart of everything we do. To have colleagues out of the operation throughout the week to celebrate the 50th anniversary was fantastic. It has supported pulling the site together as one team. The interactive sessions that Sasha and Suzana put together were brilliant and there has been some great feedback. A big well done to all involved.
The success of the 50th-anniversary celebration was a testament to all colleagues at Magna Park Central. It was a week filled with laughter, recognition, and giving back to the community.
