Tamworth's 50th Celebrations
VW Dordon celebrated Unipart's 50th Anniversary
Tamworth recently marked Unipart's 50th anniversary with not one, but two weeks of exciting activities and celebrations. The sessions were packed with fun, engaging games, and heartfelt recognition of colleagues, creating a memorable experience for all.

Colleagues enjoyed a commemorative video, birthday cake, and refreshments. Quizzes and games like Golden Balls and Giant Kerplunk brought out the competitive spirit in everyone and provided opportunities for friendly competition and strategic thinking.
The now famous Golden Wheel made its final appearance of the year, offering chances to win prizes including vouchers, coveted time off and canteen meals, and Operations Manager Dave Brophy, showed good grace in undertaking the ‘50 push ups’ forfeit!
Unipart’s World Tour game gave a real insight into other parts of Unipart, and photo opportunities captured the celebrations.
The sessions included the presentation of service milestone awards to Dave Brophy, Lloyd Pallett, David Stoneman and John Groom for their significant dedication to the contract.

Business Unit Director Ash Evans also awarded the site CARE Employee of the Month award to John Middleton for Always Delivering Excellence, for using his knowledge and experience to highlight an issue that could have resulted in product damage and cost to the client if not corrected.
Jade Poole and Hiten Raval were also recognised for demonstrating the CARE framework in action.
Ash said, “I was really impressed with the energy and enthusiasm with which the celebrations were led at VW. I was pleased to answer some great questions from the team and recognise those colleagues who have shown huge commitment to the contract over a number of years.”

It was a genuine success with some wonderful feedback from the team as they learnt more about the wider business, our past and what's shaping our future. I am hugely proud of the EE committee for setting up and delivering 16 separate roadshow events, as well as the commitment of the leadership team to each and every session across the 3 shifts. It was a really fun and relaxed time for all the attendees. I must give special mentions to Jade Seaman, Jade Poole, Michelle Alcock, and Sarah Mercer who were key in the planning and execution and in particular Nigel Collier, our local, resident, be-sequined master of ceremonies - those memories will turn into Dordon folklore, I am sure!!
Photo Time!
There are only a few more roadshow events on the horizon including JCB and Unipart House. Click here to find out more about where the roadshows will be and the site contacts to request to join.
A roundup coming soon from Nuneaton's event, so stay tuned for more!
