Big Charity Challenge Round Up 2024

This week for The Big Charity Challenge Unipart sites across the globe have been busy with activities! Colleagues have shown incredible creativity and enthusiasm in raising funds for various worthy causes.Have a read of this blog to see what everyone has been up to so far.

At Unipart Dorman's in Southport, employees brought the fun of the fair to their workplace, raising £284 for the North West Air Ambulance. VW Dordon kicked off the challenge with a charity raffle, raising £511 for the Tamworth Wellbeing & Cancer Support Centre. Unipart's Honeybourne site hosted a bingo night, raising £211 for the Air Ambulance.

For those seeking a physical challenge, Unipart Polymer and Composite Solutions (UPCS) colleagues took on the challenge of cycling 300 miles in 20 hours, raising £225 for Rowans Hospice. In Shanghai, RDC employees prepared delicious homemade food to raise funds for the Animal Protection Association. Mercia Park teams participated in the Walk and Talk 500 mental health awareness.

Hyperbat and UPA turned the workplace pink for "Wear It Pink" week, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Baginton A hosted a Speed Pool competition. ASCI combined fun and fundraising with a cake sale, a Cheesecake competition, and a fastest lap challenge in a racing simulator, supporting Helen & Douglas House hospice charity in Oxford.

Cowley DC welcomed football legend Peter Rhoades Brown for a discussion on his career and mental health. South Korea distribution centre held a charity bazaar and a roulette game, whilst the offices organised a challenge with donated items and a dart game, supporting the Beautiful Store.

Nuneaton hosted a bake sale and a series of exciting events, including Golf, Basketball, It's A Knockout, and a HUMAN Fruit Machine. JCB Cheadle employees turned back the clock with 70s outfits, raising £102 and China hosted an annual charity run and ride covering over 1,000 kilometres.

Last but not least, the Executive Leadership Team have been out and about in all weather, and joined by colleagues across our sites, as they attempt to “walk and talk” for a combined 500 miles for Mind and have already exceeded their £5000 target! . Click here to see the JustGiving page.
