John Neill visits Unipart Rail

On 18 October, colleagues from our Rail sites in Doncaster and Crewe came together to bid a heartfelt farewell to our Executive Chairman, Dr. John M. Neill CBE.

It was an honour to welcome John and hear him reflect on how Unipart became the dynamic and successful business it is today.

In his remarks, John attributed the company’s success to the collective effort of the talented people he worked with over the years, expressing his gratitude to everyone who has been part of the journey.

John spoke about his decision to step down and move on to the next chapter of his life, and how he is looking forward to spending more time with his grandchildren.

When asked about the best piece of advice he had received in his career, John emphasised the importance of having a robust plan, taking ownership to see it through and always pursuing a clear vision.

John also spoke about the need to maintain a competitive edge by embracing innovation to stay relevant in an ever-evolving market.

As John transitions into a well-deserved retirement, we are immensely grateful for the legacy of the company and The Unipart Way culture he leaves behind, and wish him all the best for the future.
