P1 Labels No More

Using OCC to reduce our impact on the environment

The Packer team at UL Baginton were tasked with finding ways to reduce their costs and environmental footprint.

Between them, they looked at different areas where they could make savings, and one of those was their use of a P1 sticker label. The P1 sticker is used to identify priority parts through the packer process. They then went through an OCC and came up with a way to replace it.

Bev Shortland picks up the story in this short video, with a challenge for you to think about how you could replace the sticky labels that you use, to reduce costs and your environmental footprint.

Hi, From the 29th April 2019 we're using 'P1' stamps. We saved the money and we reduced plastic use. 1 roll of 1000 labels costed us £16.30 & we have spend around £50 for 3 stamps 'P1'. Best regards, Mariola McLaren - Nuneaton
