Achieving KPI Improvements Through Digital Thinking
In Weedon DC, the outbound packing team had a Visual Control Board that would be updated hourly so that the team could see how they were progressing through the day.
The issue was that they had to stop work and walk to the board to actually see it, and this impacted on their productivity so they raised it as a 3C which then progressed onto an OCC to see if they could find a solution to their problem.
After listening to the team and the requirements that they all had, they set about creating a digital visual control board and developed macros that helps to speed up the process of getting the data from the main system.
The result is that their KPI performance has increased by 10%, and all of the colleagues across the team have access to the control board at their workstation.
