Celebrating our JLR partnership in America

On Thursday 20 June, we welcomed over 50 JLR retailers and employees, along with Unipart senior leaders from across North America to the Unipart / JLR Dual Branded Mickleton site in New Jersey, for a series of workshops and to celebrate our partnership with JLR in the US.

The event was hosted by Unipart in collaboration with JLR, with the aim of developing the delegates’ understanding of the different areas of the distribution centre and how JLR parts are picked and packed precisely and sent to their destination effectively (pictured below).

The workshop was a great example of our customer engagement system in action as the way we work as part of The Unipart Way, Attendees also had the opportunity to speak with Unipart Customer Service representatives as well as the local carrier.

This was followed by a presentation marking our journey so far with JLR and a competition where various prizes were up for grabs.

Tyler Rowe, Supply Chain Operations Director, JLR, said: “The event was great and really showcased the partnership between JLR and Unipart. The retailer feedback was extremely positive with many highlighting how much they enjoyed the day. We look forward to more of these types of events going forward.”

Chris Hollenbeck, Parts Director, Land Rover, added: “The Mickleton facility is beautiful and the innovations they have implemented are very impressive. It was a wonderful experience and I certainly appreciate JLR and Unipart for collaborating on this event.”

Getting closer to our customers is the first goal of The Unipart Way Forward plan, supported by our second goal of maintaining The Unipart Way at the heart of everything we do. This ensures we are able to deliver our customer promise - to understand our customers better than anyone else and therefore serve them better than anyone else.

This event was a great example of our Customer Engagement system in action - one of the four systems that outlines the way we work at Unipart. This system is all about empowering our people to engage with customers to understand their needs and create a cycle of increased satisfaction and accelerated growth.

We are proud to celebrate our partnership with JLR and support their ambitions for growth across America.

    This was a great event. All parties were really engaged in learning and sharing best practice. The Mickleton Team did a tremendous job in planning and executing this event!
