Last year, the adults in our extended family decided to do a Secret Santa, rather than buying gifts for each other. Everyone's name goes into the hat and then you match a gifter with each recipient and then notify the gifter who they are purchasing for. We put a limit of £15 on each of the gifts.
It was good fun opening the gifts and guessing who had bought each one. This saves elderly parents a fortune as they are only buying one gift, and for the rest of us, saves a bundle and stress of what to buy people. For those that can afford it we also give £50 to charity, to benefit others...
